Although the Bel Air by Chevrolet was built from 1950-1975. However, when you say “Bel Air” most people have images of the tri-five years or 1955-1957, which seem to be the most iconic and definitely the most sought after and collected. In fact, the second generation was just that, from 1955-1957 and it was called the “Hot One” in GM’s advertising campaign. For the first time since 1917 you could get a Chevrolet with a V8 engine. This particular handsome Bel Air has had just one family since day one and has traded hands in that family a total of three times. The current owner, which is the grandson of the original owner, has had it in his possession since 1981. He learned to drive on this car as did all his siblings in the 1960’s. About 10 years ago he had the car re-painted and interior done along with some brakes and suspension components, hoses and belts. This Tuxedo over Black with the red interior has to be one of the nicest color combinations on the planet. This car sits very strait, the door gaps are very presentable, engine bay is tidy as is the trunk. The only rust to speak of is some surface rust on the underside. The paint is driver quality, the trim, chrome and bright work are also very presentable. The engine starts up easy, does not smoke and idles nicely. Brakes and tires are in good condition as well. This is a excellent get it in and enjoy or would make a great engine swap car. Please inquire with any additional questions.
